Obstacle avoider light follower robot detects the light (such as the light of a flashlight) and follows the light on the travelling path. Also it can detect the obstacles while it is moving and make the passes by the obstacles.

The robot has two light detection sensors which are prepared with LDRs (light dependent resistors) and an infra red obstacle detecting sensor. The sensitivity of the light sensors can be set by using the trimpots.

The robot has a compact design with two N20 geared dc motors connected to 2 wheels, and a caster ball wheel.

The robot was powered by a 9 V alkaline battery.

PIC16F628A was used as microcontroller for the robot.

L293 motor driver used for the driving of the DC motors.
